  • Autophagy (“self-eating”) is a detox process your body undergoes to clean out damaged cells and regenerate new ones. The benefits of autophagy include reduced inflammation, improvement in daily bodily function, prevention of neurodegenerative diseases, and increased longevity.

Ketosis is a normal metabolic process that occurs when the body does not have enough glucose for energy. Instead, it burns stored fat for energy. This makes your body’s primary energy source stored body fat. Ketosis also promotes improved mental health since there are no blood sugar swings and ketones cause less oxidative stress than glucose.

Hormesis is the body’s adaptive mechanism to mild stress. This will trigger protective metabolic pathways such as AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) that increase mitochondrial density and support the immune system.

Fasting is food for the soul.

Fasting is a matter of the mean. One should not fast to such an extent that it damages ones health, or becomes to weak to perform the tasks of ones occupation, for that would be to go to excess.

Fasting can be done based off health, preference, and ability.

Follow the stoic philosophers and do the gradual approach. it is better to be patient, to be gentle, rather than attempt the spectacular, and risk the spectacular crash.

  • This approach involves cycling between periods of fasting and eating.

  • This involves fasting periodically, such as once a month or on specific dates. It’s often done for spiritual or ritualistic reasons.

  • Alternate Day Fasting – Fast for 24 hours with the help of “Fasting Fuel”, followed by a healthy diet for the next 24 hours. Repeat.

  • Fast 18-20 hours with the help of “Fasting Fuel” and eat a healthy diet in your 4-6 hour eating window.

  • Abstaining from food with the help of FastingFuel and then eat a healthy diet for 5 days which can include “Fasting Fuel” as a low-calorie healthy beverage whenever desired. Repeat cycle.

  • In this fasting method, you abstain from food for a full 36 hours. For example, you might eat dinner, then not eat again until breakfast two days later.

  • Similar to the 36-hour fast, this involves abstaining from food for a full 48 hours. It can be done once or twice a week.

  • A 3-day fast where you consume no calories for 72 hours. This is often used for detoxification and is technically considered an extended fast.

  • Fasts lasting beyond 72 hours, sometimes lasting for several days or even weeks. These are typically done under medical supervision and are not recommended for beginners.

TAKE THE QUIZ.

Fasting PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire)

This short, 5-minute quiz helps give clarity and assesses potential health risks and determines if fasting is safe for them. The questionnaire covers various health aspects. This ensures personalized advice, medical supervision when necessary, and minimizes risks during fasting, empowering individuals to make informed decisions and prioritize their health and safety.

  • Many cultures and religions have practiced fasting throughout history for spiritual, health and cultural reasons.

In ancient Greece, fasting was associated with the worship of gods and as a means of seeking divine favor.

Ancient Indian texts like the Vedas and Upanishads mention fasting as a spiritual discipline to attain self-control and clarity of mind.

  • Fasting was introduced in the modern era as a cure for various diseases and was used by illustrious names, including Benjamin Franklin and Mark Twain.

  • Scientific studies started to explore the link between fasting and health, leading to its inclusion in more effective treatments for several diseases.

The History of Fasting

  • In Judaism, fasting is observed on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, and other significant occasions.

  • Christianity has a long history of fasting, with practices like Lent, a period of fasting and repentance leading up to Easter.

  • In Islam, fasting during the holy month of Ramadan is considered one of the Five Pillars of Islam.

  • Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism also incorporate fasting as part of spiritual practices, observances, or religious festivals.

Religious Traditions

  • “The zoomed in lens is beautiful. But sometimes life is way to zoomed in or chaotic, and you need to Detach and zoom out to see the beauty.”

What we can’t fast from, we become a slave to.

  • Fasting is the practice of voluntarily abstaining from food or certain types of food for a specific period of time.

Intermittent fasting is a pattern of eating that cycles between periods of fasting and eating. There are different methods of fasting, which can vary in duration and frequency.

Fasting is more then just abstaining from food or drink, its also a matter of self-control and reflection.

  • Yes, we all fast to some extent but what may be safe and beneficial for one person may not be suitable for another. It is always best to consult with a healthcare professional before making any significant changes to your diet or fasting routine.

The concept of breakfast, lunch, and dinner is a relatively recent development. Historically, humans typically ate one large meal a day.

  • People fast for various reasons, including religious or spiritual purposes, health benefits, detoxification, self-discipline, and personal reflection.

Ingredients Backed By The Latest Clinical Research.

  • Magnesium is the fourth most abundant cation in the body and is needed by every cell in the human body. Magnesium is needed for nerve transmission, muscle contraction, blood coagulation, energy production, nutrient metabolism, bone integrity and cell formation. Low blood serum levels of magnesium have been associated with a number of chronic health issues

  • Potassium is the third-most prevalent mineral in the body and is needed for muscular contractions, pressure regulation, fluid balance, bone growth and nutrient digestion. The Food & Drug Administration recommends adults to consume 3,500 to 4,700 milligrams per day, yet only 2% of the American population actually consumes this quantity [10]. A meta-analysis that included 11 studies and 247,510 participants found that higher dietary potassium intake was associated less health problems

  • Manganese is a trace mineral that is required for the normal functioning of your brain, nervous system and many of your body’s enzyme systems. Manganese is a part of the antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase (SOD), which is arguably one of the most important antioxidants in your body [11]. Antioxidants help protect against free radicals, which are molecules that can cause damage to cells in your body.

  • Chromium is an essential trace mineral that is becoming popular as a dietary supplement because good dietary sources of chromium are limited and intake is generally low. Chromium augments the actions of insulin, which controls blood sugar levels. In one study looking at the blood sugar responses to a carbohydrate meal of white bread, the addition of 400 micrograms of chromium resulted in a 23% reduction in blood sugar after the meal

  • Iodine is an essential mineral commonly found in seafood. Your thyroid gland use iodine to make thyroid hormones, which control growth, repair damaged cells and support a healthy metabolism. It is estimated that up to a third of people worldwide are deficient in iodine. An iodine deficiency can cause side effects like weight gain, fatigue, hair loss and constipation.

  • Biotin is a B vitamin that help the body metabolize fats and carbohydrates. The word “biotin” comes from the ancient Greek word “biotos,” which means “life”. B vitamins, and specifically biotin, help keep your hair, skin, eyes, liver and nervous system healthy. Biotin is particularly important during pregnancy as its important for embryonic growth.

  • Copper is an essential trace mineral that is found in all body tissues and plays an important role in making red blood cells and maintaining proper nerve cell communication. Copper also plays an important role in maintaining collagen and elastin, major structural components of our bodies.

  • Folate helps the body metabolize proteins, form red blood cells, and regulates the metabolic process of lowering blood serum homocysteine levels, which prevents oxidative stress. Human studies show that a low folate intake is associated with poor health conditions (Zeng, Xu, Xu, Wang, & Wang, 2015).

Aside: why methylation matters – It is estimated that up to 30% of the population is unable to metabolize the unmethylated forms of Folate and Vitamin B12. The active forms of these B vitamins are referred to as the methylated form. This is the form that your body can actually utilize.

  • Selenium is an essential mineral that has been shown to prevent cardiovascular disease and other chronic diseases by increasing enzymatic antioxidant activity and decreasing lipid peroxidation. The selenium content of food varies greatly geographically depending on the soil, water concentrations and use of selenium-containing fertilizers. The transportation of foods decreases vitamin and mineral content so people living in climates where the majority of their food is imported are at greater risk of selenium deficiency

  • Serves as a powerful antioxidant that protects cells from damage, supports immune function, and aids in collagen production for healthy skin and tissue repair. It also enhances iron absorption from plant-based sources and contributes to wound healing.
